It was given to us by the Pope.

About 500 in our international, canonical order serving here in the U.S.A., Germany, The Netherlands, Portugal, Brazil and Africa
4. What rule does your order follow?
The rule of Saint Francis of Assisi.
5. How many vows do your sisters take and what are they?
We take three vows - Poverty, Chastity and Obedience.
6. What type of work do the members of your order do?
All kinds - social work, pastoral ministry, teachers, work with the elderly, food shelf, clothing-give-away stores, prayer ministry, chaplaincy...
7. Do your members wear habits?
Some sisters do and some do not. We all wear the same cross.
8. If they do, please describe them.
A brown dress and a black veil.
9. How old do you have to be to join your order?
At least 20 years old.
10. How does one know that one is being called to be a sister?
When one is called to be a sister, usually the thought of being a sister comes at the least expected time and with that thought, a feeling of being drawn to religious life.
It is important to pray much for strength to follow your call because to be a sister is to be counter-cultural.
