The mass dedicated to the Beatification of our Foundress, who is now called "Blessed" Rose Flesch.  We share this excerpt from the Beatification Mass held in Trier, Germany on May 4th, 2008.  The Archbishop of Cologne,  Joachim Cardinal Meisner,  said this in his homily:

"We need a pedagogy of holiness.   Here this is granted to us in Mother Rose Flesch.   Today the Cathedral of Trier praises the   Savior Jesus   Christ honors himself,   when   it Mother   Mary   Rose as newly Blessed and asks for her intercession.   On the feast of All Saints, the whole church prays: God, you alone are holy. We praise you when we remember our Saints!   Pope Benedict XVI said in a speech, "And we conceal something of His glory when we stop praising those in whom He has shown Himself   in the people who became vessels of His grace, we extol Him.  Holiness is never our own private property.  Nothing   is   more   comprehensive   and  more transparent than holiness. Therefore the Saints are real teachers of the Church. It is not they themselves who live, but Christ lives in them.
Amen."
Pope Benedict XVI issued this Apostolic Proclamation, which Cardinal Meisner read from the pulpit in the great Cathedral as we listened intently:

"As a representative of the Holy Father Benedict XVI, I now read the Apostolic Proclamation with which His Holiness has entered Mary Rose Flesch, this servant of God, in the book of the beatified”
