The little apartment in Sibley Manor Apartments, named Clare’s Closet after St. Clare of Assisi is a very busy place, indeed. Often times, those who come for something to wear are wearing the only clothes they own and often times they also do not have even the necessary household items. Our mission is explained further in our Mission Statement:

The Mission of Clare’s Closet, sponsored by the Franciscan Sisters of St. Paul, Minnesota Inc., is to serve those who are in need of clothing and household items living at Sibley Manor Apartment Complex. This service is free and available in emergencies or when necessary. The manner in which this service is administered is to promote a spirit of community, positive presence and peace.

We thank all who contribute to this important endeavor for when you help clothe your neighbor you not only clothe Christ, but you also:

• Give them courage to begin anew to help themselves
  
• Help to give them control of their lives again
  
• Give them dignity to face the world
  
• Give yourself the awareness that you can make a difference
